Boys Basketball Coaches CornerDear Canandaigua School Community, Welcome to the 2006-2007 edition of the CA Braves Basketball Program. Once again, I am sure this season will be filled with awesome action from the Finger Lakes East. Our theme for this season is "TOGETHER". You will see a team on the floor that cares and shares. We will focus on moving the basketball up the floor as quickly as possible and applying a great deal of pressure to our opponents all over the court. The entire basketball program continues to improve at every level and is, once again, led by the best in the business of teaching and coaching. Our 7th Grade, 8th Grade and Freshmen Teams are well underway and will be exciting to watch. Our Travel Teams are giving our young student-athletes special opportunities along with expert coaching. Our Saturday Morning Program has grown tremendously over the past 10 years and will, once again, involve over 300 children of Canandaigua. Our "Night of Honor" recognizes our past booster club president, Bill Wigent. Bill, in his own quiet way, was a wonderful leader who led by example and helped take the club to a higher level. His efforts to the program will not soon be forgotten. Please join us in honoring Bill at one of our home contests this winter. In closing, a special thanks to those extraordinary people who put so much time into our basketball program. The Booster Club has been extremely gracious and has allowed our program to give our student/athletes a "1st Class" experience over the years. I urge all of us to cheer and root for our teams as loud and as proud as possible, but to do this in a positive, productive manner. I would like to wish Coach Guy and the Lady Braves basketball team the best of luck this season. Also, continued success to the CA Cheerleaders as well as Coaches Taft and Kott. Sincerely yours,
Michael J. Broderick |
